Obituary

Barbara Dombroski, 82, of Sterling, passed on Tuesday morning at Allied Hospice Center, Scranton. She was born in Duryea, to the late George and Jessie Griffin. Educated in Duryea schools, she worked in the local garment industry until she opened her own interior decorating business, which she retired from. Barbara attended Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Moscow up until her illness.

Barbara and her husband John Dombroski recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.

She is survived by her husband, John, their son, Joseph Dombroski and wife Deborah, Scranton, her siblings; Karen Ligi, Scranton, and Ruth Bullaro, Taylor, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, a son, John R. Dombroski Jr. and 2 step-grandsons, Jacob and Derek Ruthkosky.

Viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday, 5 to 8 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. A Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 am by Rev. Deacon Frank Zeranski in the funeral home. Interment will follow at SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Taylor.
