Carmen Del Pilar Nuñez, 57, of Scranton, PA, passed on Tuesday,

October 20, 2020, at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, she is the daughter of Esteban Castro and Awilda Nuñez.

Carmen is survived by a son, Abel Soto, Florida, two daughters; Michelle Rivera and fiancée

Ricardo Acevedo, Connecticut, Elizabeth Hernandez, Puerto Rico and a grandson, Elijah Acevedo. Two sisters; Sonia Santiago and husband Raphael A. Santiago, Brooklyn, NY and Janet Castro, Dunmore, one brother, Jesse James Castro, Puerto Rico.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, at 10 am officiated by Rev. Ramon Garcia in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Viewing for family and friends will be on Monday, 4 to 7 PM. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
