Cecelia "Ceil" Michalik, 88, died Wednesday, at the Mountain View Care Center, Scranton. Her husband of 60 years, Joseph F. Michalik, died on January 24, 2014. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eliza Funtz Rodrigues. Educated in North Scranton High School, she was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish and worked as a supervisor for the Scranton School District lunch program at Kennedy Elementary School in South Scranton. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Michalik Gaus, Lenox Twp., her grandson, Taylor Gaus, one sister, Sylvia Reap, Scranton, one brother, Anthony Rodrigues, Kearny, NJ, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Delmont and Daniel Rodrigues. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, 1217 Prospect Avenue, South Scranton by the Rev. Scott P. Sterowski, Pastor, St. Paul of the Cross Parish.  Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, West Scranton. Viewing for family and friends will be on Sunday, 3 to 6 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton.
