Chad V. Dommes, 49, of Taylor, passed Wednesday after being stricken ill at home. Born in Scranton, he is the son of Frederick and Carol (Bonno) , Dommes of Old Forge. Chad was a graduate of West Scranton High School and had worked in the carpentry trade up until his illness. He is also survived by two sons, Chad Vincent Jr and Vincent Chad, two daughters, Trisha Lewis. Nina Montafia, two brothers, Brian (Alisha) and Frederick Dommes Jr., and Fiancé Christine Erfman

A Christian Service will be held on Tuesday at 10 am in the funeral home, officiated the Rev. Dr. Elliott Cooke, Interment will follow at the Newton-Ransom Cemetery.

Viewing for family and friends will be on Monday, 4 to 7 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton
