Charles J. Wasko, 84 of Scranton, passed on Friday morning at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center where he was a resident for almost 2 years. Born in Scranton, he is the son of the late Charles and Irene (Kuzara) Wasko. Charles was an Army veteran having served in France and received his GED diploma while in the Army and was employed by and retired as a electrician at the Tobyhanna Army Depot.

He is survived by his siblings; Irene Croker and husband Robert, Barbara Koch, Peggy Noll and husband Joseph, all of Scranton, Thomas Wasko and partner, Tina Pizzola, Dunmore, Joseph Wasko, Taylor, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Irene, siblings; Theresa Evans and Walter Wasko.

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, at 10 am at the Cathedral Cemetery, West Scranton, with Military Honors accorded by the US Army and the Dickson City Veterans Honor Guard.
