Emiliano Marmolejo Pelaez

Emiliano Marmolejo Pelaez, born on January 2, 1977, in Puebla, Mexico, passed away on March 4, 2026, in New York, New York. He was a cherished member of his family and community, known for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering support to those around him.

Emiliano is survived by his beloved mother, Nereida Pelaez Quiñones ,two sons, Emanuel Marmolejo and fiance, Naomi, Daniel Marmolejo, and daughter, Emily Marmolejo, all of Scranton, siblings: four sisters - María de los Ángeles of New York, Ignacia Marmolejo of Scranton, Blanca Marmolejo of Scranton, and Maria E Marmolejo of Clarks Summit; and one brother, Juan Carlos Marmolejo of Scranton. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Marmolejo.

The legacy of Emiliano will be honored through a series of services held at The Edward J Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Service, LLC in Scranton, PA. A viewing will take place on March 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will follow the next day on March 14, 2026, commencing at 8:30 AM, immediately prior to the Mass at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Parish, scheduled for 10:00 AM. Emiliano will be laid to rest at Cathedral Cemetery, where the burial is set for 11:30 AM on the same day.

His departure leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends, but his spirit will forever be remembered in the lives he touched.
