Frederick J. "Fred" Dommes III, 25, of West Scranton, died Tuesday. Born in Scranton, he is the son of Frederick J. Dommes Jr., Scranton, and Holly Yourkowski Williams, Clarks Summit. A 2008 graduate of West Scranton, High School, he was employed in the production department of Gertrude Hawk Chocolate and was of the Protestant Faith. He is also survived by one son, Frederick J. Dommes IV, two sisters, Katelyn and Samantha Williams, Scranton, two brothers, Joshua and Daniel Dommes, Dunmore, Paternal Grandparents, Frederick J. and Carol Dommes, Old Forge, two step sisters, Alyssa Schuler, Scranton, Monica Schuler, Mountaintop, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry and JoAnn Yourkowski. A viewing for family and friends will be on Thursday, 5 to 8 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, with Services at 8 pm by the Rev. Arthur Davis. Interment will be private on Friday in the Newton-Ransom Cemetery, Newton Twp.
