Gary Carroll 65, passed away at home on June 29, 2026. Born on August 16, 1960, he was the son of the late Vincent M. and Margaret L. Carroll. Gary shared 31 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Tara Maxion Carroll. In addition to his wife Tara, he is survived by his brothers, Vincent Carroll and wife Donna, Matthew Carroll, brothers in law, Robert and Brian Maxion and sister in law, Mary Johnson, nieces, nephews and cousins. Gary was a high school graduate and was employed at Crystal Soda and Olympia Chimney up to the time of his passing.
Gary had a love of all animals and especially his canines. Because of his many walks and exploits with his dogs, he made many special friendships with many dog owners which have now become long term friendships.The family would like to acknowledge and thank Allied Skilled Nursing nurses and staff, and the Allied Hospice Center for the compassionate care given to Gary and his family.Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration Life for Gary on Thursday, 10 am till 12 noon with services officiated by Rev. Ginger Daubenhauser at 11:30 am in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton.
