George H. Rodney, 62 of West Scranton, passed on Tuesday morning, January 25, 2022 at home after a long battle with lung cancer. His wife of 40 years is Cindy Greenfield Rodney. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late George and Rose Marie Rodney. Educated in West Scranton High School, he was a former member of St. John the Baptist Church, West Scranton and was employed for Johnson Towing as a heavy tow truck driver. He is survived by two sons; Lee Rodney, Josh Rodney and companion Marie Martin, all of Scranton, one daughter, Kristen Devine-Rodney and husband Stephen, Hawaii, eight grandchildren, one brother, Frank Rodney and wife Mary Lou, Scranton, one sister, Roseanne Rorick, Dunmore, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, from 5 to 6:45 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton with services officiated by Deacon Carmine Mendicino at 6:45 pm. Inurnment will be private.
