Heidi B. Maruhnich, 37, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Tuesday morning at Allied Hospice Center, Scranton, after an extended illness. Born in Scranton, she is the daughter of Pauline Maruhnich, East Stroudsburg. Heidi was a 2003 graduate of Stroudsburg High School, attended Lackawanna College, and worked as a lab tech. In addition to her mother, Heidi is survived by her sister Rachel, cousin Dorene, whom she had a close relationship with, Godmother Aunt Margie Champine, Aunt Helen Fabiani, Uncles Michael and Frank Maruhnich, and many beloved cousins. Heidi was predeceased by her Aunt Irene, who held an exceptional place in her heart and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Heidi was comforted through her illness by her cat Tafford, and a dog Dutchess, whom she loved very much.

Viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 18, 10:30 to 11:30 am, with a Reflections Of Life Service at 11:30 am, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Burial to follow at St.Nicholas Cemetery, 2218 Ransom Rd, Scranton.
