John Lukaitis, 79 of Scranton, passed away on October 9th, 2026 in Allied Hospice. Born to Frank and Catherine Kitlas Lukaitis, John was a high school graduate who worked for many years as a laborer in local manufacturing. He found real joy in fishing and was an avid fisherman who cherished time by the water. John is survived by his niece and caretaker Cynthia Myers and her husband Eric of Scranton and by nephew Dustin Lukaitis of Scranton. He is also survived by numerous additional nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great-great-niece and nephew, of whom he was especially fond. He was predeceased by his 11 brothers and sisters. At John's request, there will be no public calling hours. A celebration of life will be held in the near future. His family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Allied hospice for their care and treatment of John. Arrangements are under the care of the Edward J.
