John M. Pushinaitis, 74, of West Scranton, died at home early Saturday November 5. Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Vincent and Anna Pushinaitis. He was a graduate of West Scranton Senior High School and continued his education at Florida Institute of Technology where he was the class president. John was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and later worked at Heinz Pet Products and Del Monte Foods in Bloomsburg. He is survived by his niece and caregiver, Theresa Pushinaitis and companion David Tripp, West Scranton, one sister, Carol Fetch, FL., nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother; Vincent P. Pushinaitis Jr. and wife Barbara, and one brother-in-law Michael Fetch.  Calling hours for family and friends will be on Saturday, November 19, 10 to 11 am in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Military Honors will be accorded at 11 am. Interment will be private.
