Obituary

Julia J. Penn, of Scranton, passed peacefully on Tuesday at Allied Skilled Nursing Center. She was the widow of Donald R. Penn, who passed in 2002. Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Gillick Labosky. Educated at Scranton Technical High School, she was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Scranton.  Julia enjoyed being employed as a Nanny for many years.  She is survived by her daughters, Donna M. Kelleher and husband Joesph Kelleher Jr. Scranton. Suzanne J. Belaus and husband George Belaus, Throop. Son, Donald

Penn Jr. and wife Diana, Texas. Five grandchildren, Catherine and Joesph Kelleher III, Noah, Adam and Naomi Penn.

Five sisters, Arlene Kasaczon and husband Joseph, Scranton, Patricia Penn, Scranton, Suzanne Colwell and husband Ronald, Florida, Mary Lou Noto, Scranton, Theresa Wioncek and husband Jan, Dickson City, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her parents, her brother, Peter Labosky, two brothers in-law, George Penn and Joseph Noto. The family would like to thank the staff and Julia's many friends, at Allied Skilled Nursing Center for their care and support.  A Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 10 am, in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton by the Rev. Fr. Roman Vasylynka. Private entombment will be at Fairview Memorial Park Mausoleum, Elmhurst.
