Lois Ann (Ward) Davis, 86, of Scranton, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, one day before her 87th birthday. She was the devoted wife of the late Ronald E. Davis, who passed away in March 2022.

Born September 27, 1939, in the Bellevue section of Scranton, Lois was the daughter of the late Julia (Hunjo) and Edward Ward.

Lois was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother whose family was always at the center of her life. She will be remembered for her love and dedication to those closest to her and for the important role she played in building several successful family businesses. Alongside her husband, Ronald, Lois was a co-founder and owner/operator of R.E. Davis Refuse Inc., Reliable Disposal Inc., and Ron Davis Tire & Auto in Scranton.

She is survived by her son, Ronald E. Davis Jr. and his wife, Meridith (Ippolito) Davis of Clarks Summit, PA, and their daughter, Amelia; her son, William Davis and his wife, April (Phillips) Davis of Scranton, PA, and their children, Abigail, Nora, and Ryan; and her daughter, Lisa Ann (Davis) Ralston and her husband, Andrew of Allentown, PA, and their children, Benjamin, Paisley, and Julia.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald E. Davis; her daughter, Deborah (Davis) Stengline; her brother, William Ward; and her parents, Julia (Hunjo) and Edward Ward.

Lois leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion, and love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of The Pines Senior Living in Clarks Summit, where Lois made her home for the past three years. Their kindness, compassion, and dedicated care provided Lois and her family with comfort and support and will always be deeply appreciated.

The family will receive friends/family on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 9:00am – 10:00am at St. Patrick’s Church, 1403 Jackson Street, West Scranton with a mass following at 10:00am. Interment immediately following mass at Saint Vladimir’s Cemetery, Minooka.
