Louis M. Nardella

Louis M. Nardella, 86, of North Scranton, passed away Wednesday at home with his loving family by his side. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Brunori Nardella.

Louis was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith Bianchi Nardella; his son, Brian Nardella; and his daughter-in-law, Tiffany Nardella.

A graduate of Scranton Technical High School and Penn State University, Louis was employed as a draftsman engineer with the Trane Company for many years. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve.

A devoted family man, Louis took great pride in being the patriarch of his family. He cherished hosting holiday dinners and family gatherings, creating countless memories for those he loved.

Louis was an avid bowler, golfer, and bocce enthusiast. A longtime member of Mary, Mother of God Parish and the Victor Alfieri Society, he was affectionately known as "The Wrench" because he always seemed to know how to "tighten up" the bocce court during competition. He also served with pride and dedication on the Supervisory Board of NET Federal Credit Union.

He is survived by his son, Michael Nardella of New Jersey; his daughters, Lori Kozlosky and her husband, Mark, of New Jersey, and Lisa Nardella of Clarks Summit; his brother, Michael Nardella of Georgia; his daughter-in-law, Lynne Nardella; his grandchildren, Dane and Devin Kozlosky; two great-grandchildren; his companion, Jackie Bonafede; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, Holy Rosary Church, 316 William Street, Scranton. Entombment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton.
