Marie Honick, 78, of Dickson City, passed early Wednesday morning at Allied Hospice Center, Scranton, with her daughters at her side. Her husband Richard J. "Dick" Honick passed in February 2004. The couple had been married 43 years at the time of his passing. Born in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and June Hartman Artley.  Marie was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and had worked at the Keystone Residence and retired from the Scranton School for the Deaf. She is survived by four daughters; Barbara Whitman and husband William, Scranton, Margaret Walsh, Dickson City, Jeanna Greenfield, Taylor, Christina Lumley and husband Daryl, Ontario, Canada. 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one brother; Thomas Artley, Olyphant. She was preceded in death by two daughters; Shannon Honick-Hill, Theresa Horvath, two grandsons, Blake and Taylor, one great grand-daughter, Kirsten. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, 5 to 7 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, with services officiated by the Rev. Barbara Giannetti, beginning at 7 pm. Inurnment at Cathedral Cemetery will be at a later date.
