Mary Ann Tucker, 97, of Old Forge, passed away Tuesday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was the widow of Walter M. Tucker Sr.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Toporowich Lenko. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and worked in maintenance at the Lackawanna County Courthouse.
Mary Ann was a devoted member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, where she volunteered for many church fundraisers and enjoyed helping make pierogies for various church events.
Surviving are her son, Kenneth J. Tucker and wife, Tricia, Old Forge; daughter-in-law, Sharmayne Tucker, Scranton; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Walter M. Tucker Jr. and Thomas Tucker; and three siblings.
Family and friends may pay their respects Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, 430 N. Seventh Ave., Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Myron Myronyuk.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, West Scranton.
