Obituary

Mary Nidoh, 91, of Clarks Summit died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning at Clarks Summit Senior Living (CSSL). Her husband Paul Nidoh died in 2003. Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Kapacs. Mary was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and was previously employed by Waites and Bonds Cigar Co., Eureka Printers and Specialty Printing, and was a member of St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

Mary was a loving wife, a caring mother and a pleasant individual. She had numerous friends from her past work places as well as her time spent at the CSSL. She enjoyed spending time with friends, playing bingo and the raffles at CSSL, shopping for hidden treasures of clothes and jewelry at her favorite local stores, and was a big fan of the Game Show Network. She always liked to dress up and coordinate with her jewelry accessories. Mary enjoyed traveling with her husband on many trips to California and Texas to visit her sons and to spend time with her grandsons in Texas.

She is survived by her son Paul, Houston TX, Grandson Matthew Nidoh and wife Meredith and Great Granddaughter Emma Grace, and Grandson Andrew Nidoh, all of Round Rock Texas, one Brother John Kapacs and wife Mary Ann, Minooka, one sister Nancy Bocci, Scranton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son Stephen Nidoh, Esq., one daughter, Juliann Nidoh, and twin sons John and Joseph Nidoh.

The family would like to thank Allied Services Hospice Care, Clarks Summit Senior Living, Dr. William Dempsey of the Wright Center, Dr. Mark Cruciani, and the neighbors and friends for the care they gave Mary.

A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am in St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, 430 North 7 th Avenue, Scranton by the Rev. Myron Myronyuk, Pastor. Interment will follow in St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. Viewing for family and friends will be at the church from 10am until time of liturgy.

Memorial contributions can be made in Mary's name to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Twp, Pa. 18411 or St. Vladimir Church, 430 N. 7th Ave, Scranton Pa. 18503.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton.
