Michael A. Ranakoski, 65, of Scranton, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at home. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Walter and Ann Marie Tobin Ranakoski. He was a 1977 graduate of West Scranton Senior High School. Before retirement, he worked as a carpenter for Local Union #445. He is survived by three sons Michael Ranakoski, Dickson City, Joseph Ranakoski (Illissa), Cherry Hill, NJ and David Ranakoski (Mary), Scranton,  one sister Diane Kahanic, Scranton, 2 stepbrothers Steven and Randy Hill, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one stepbrother, Paul Hill.  Friends may call Saturday, 4 to 7 PM at the Edward J.
