Naomi M. Whalen, 85 of Scranton, passed on Tuesday at the Green Ridge Care Center, Scranton. Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Evangeline Jackett. She was the widow of William P. Whalen, who died in May of 2016. The couple were married 52 years at the time of his passing. Naomi was a graduate of Pittston High School and retired from Specialty Printers of Scranton.

She is survived by two daughters, Jill Coffman and husband Patrick, Arkansas, Patty York, Tunkhannock, granddaughters, Savanna, and Cassidy Coffman, two grandsons, Landon York and wife Rachel, and Justin York, a sister, Helen Jackett, Pittston, nieces and nephews. Naomi was predeceased by eight siblings, Thomas, Leonard, Merle, Larry, Harry, Marty, Shirley, and Audrey.

A graveside service will be held at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton on Saturday, July 15 at 1100 am, by Deacon Carmine Mendicino.
