Robert M. Sledzinski, 58, of West Scranton, died Friday at Moses-Taylor Hospital after a long battle with cancer. His wife of 26 years is Chris E. Matthews Sledzinski. Born in Hawthorne, CA, he is the son of Ann R. Sledzinski, Scranton, and the late Robert A. Sledzinski. A 1976 graduate of West Scranton High School, he was of the Catholic Faith and had worked in auto parts sales for NAPA Hamlin Auto Parts until his illness. Also surviving are one son, Robert A. Sledzinski and wife Emily, Sarasota, FL, three daughters, Stacy Rash and husband Brian, Mechanicsville, MD, Kaitlyn Sledzinski, Scranton and fiancée Eric Congdon, Clifford, Morgan Sledzinski, Scranton, two grandchildren, Camilia and Colin Rash, three sisters, Lisa Smith, Julie Pawluck and husband Michael, Suzanne Sledzinski, all of Scranton, one brother, Christopher Sledzinski, Scranton, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 4 to 7 pm. A prayer service will be held at 7 PM.
