Ruth E. Bieniecki, 83, of East Mountain, passed Thursday morning at the Dunmore Health Care Center. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Robert J. Bieniecki Sr., who passed in 2008. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Lettie Wagner Phillips. Ruth attended West Scranton High School and was employed until retirement at the Mercy Hospital in the Housekeeping department. Ruth is survived by four children, William Bieniecki and wife Laura, Scranton, Ruthann Bieniecki and husband Robert Kalinich, Scranton, Joann Danko and husband Al, Moosic, Robert J. Bieniecki Jr. and wife Karen, Jefferson Twp., four grandchildren, William Bieniecki Jr., Michael Bieniecki, Robert Kalinich Jr., Dominique Gillett, two great grandchildren, Kennedy Bieniecki, Kevin Gillett and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Robert, her parents and 10 siblings.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, at 12 noon in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton, Officiated by the Rev. Deacon Carmine Mendicino. Interment will follow at the Forest Hills Cemetery, Dunmore. Viewing for family and friends will be on Monday, 4 to 7 pm.
