Thomas George Burns, 48, of South Scranton, passed on Monday, August 22, after an extended illness at home. Born in Manhattan, NY, to Thomas and Gloria Burns, he was educated in NYC schools and had been employed in the construction industry.  Thomas is survived by two sons; Nicholas Burns, and Thomas Burns, two daughters; Haley Burns, Olivia Eastman, one sister; Katie Dale and husband Bill, two brothers; Brian Burns, Charles Lehner, nine grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was per-deceased by his father Thomas and one brother Stephen Lehner. Viewing for family and friends will be on Friday, August 26 from 5 to 8 pm in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Interment will be private.
