Virginia Stanchak, 86, formerly of West Scranton, of Flourtown passed peacefully on Thursday morning. Virginia was born in Scranton to the late Vincent and Mary Toczylowski Stanchak, and was a lifelong member of SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, West Scranton. Virginia was a graduate of West Scranton High School and retired as a seamstress in the local garment industry. She is survived by her sister, Diane Hudachek and husband Joseph, Upper Gwynedd, PA, nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her parents Vincent and Mary and her brother, Joseph Stanchak.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, August 5, 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am at SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 1309 West Locust Street, Scranton 18504, by the Rev. Fr. James Paisley: Pastor. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
