William B. Evans, 77, of Green Ridge, died Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family. His wife of 54 years is Shirley Gleich Evans. The couple would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Friday. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late William J. and Pearl Davis Evans. A graduate of Scranton Technical High School, he worked on the rescue department for the PA Turnpike, and was a driver for Northeast Transportation. Bill was an Army veteran and of the Methodist faith. He is also survived by 4 sons, William B, VA, Keith, Brian & David , all of Scranton, 12 grandchildren, 1 brother, Charles Evans, FL, several nephews. As per Bill's wishes, cremation was held and to have no services or visitation. Inurnment was held on Wednesday at Shady Lane Cemetery, Clarks Summit. Arrangements by the Edward J.
